Defined by her use of fluid lines, obvious brush work and a subtle, moody and muted colour palette, whether abstract or portrait, McEachran’s sense of style is consistent throughout. Her work is characterized by a process of layering paint and line work, where each layer adds to the depth of the emotional narrative she aims to convey. This method results in complex textures that suggest both vulnerability and resilience.

Congruently to her artistic pursuits, McEachran worked for many years as a fashion designer. First with her own successful women’s wear label Moocha Bella, then, after winning The British Councils Creative Industry Award, in the UK for international labels Stella McCartney and Luella Bartley, followed by a stint on the television show Project Runway Australia before shifting her focus more towards painting.

An illustrator of note, with a number of book publications to her name, McEachran has illustrated children’s books as well as a series of biographical memoirs. She has a line of bespoke illustrated event stationary and creates personalised invitations, place cards and event packages unique to the client and created by commission.

Seeing the world through a curatorial lens, McEachran is a true multi-discipline creative.
